A positive and healthy way for couples to work through issues
and strengthen their relationships.
I provide therapy and counseling sessions for individuals and couples.
Have a question? I'll respond promptly Monday - Saturday.
With over 28 years of experience as a marriage counselor and couples therapist in Bergen County, New Jersey, and the larger Tri-State area, I provide individual therapy as well as relationship therapy to couples who are in their first or second marriages or in committed relationships.
You'll find I'm easy to talk to about sensitive issues that come up in couples therapy. In my couples counseling sessions, I provide nonjudgmental advice that addresses your needs and helps improve communication, intimacy and mutual respect between both partners.
People enter into relationships with expectations, goals and dreams of what that relationship should look like and how it should evolve. I'll help you express those ideas to one another in a safe and supportive environment where you'll feel comfortable opening up to each other. We'll work together to outline what you hope to achieve in therapy and how we can increase productive communication and strengthen the bonds of your relationship's foundation.
Your individuality and core values – what makes you you – are what you bring to a relationship. This is how you see the world. The same goes for your partner. These separate world views need to be acknowledged in order for healthy communication to be maintained in a relationship.
I’ll facilitate communication between both of you so you can express yourselves without fear of being shut-down or minimized.
As a marriage counselor, I make certain that you leave our sessions with an action plan that is solution-focused and specific to your relationship. You will have the knowledge and confidence to create positive change and grow both personally and as a family.
During counseling, I'm a neutral third party who helps partners focus on problem-solving instead of antagonizing each other. This creates a safe space to have open discussions about the state of your union and explore ways to improve it.
